What belongs in a version log
Keep enough context to match a submitted file to the right application. Leave document content out of the log.

Keep one base resume, then name the role-specific version
Your base document is the complete source. A role-specific version should make the relevant evidence easier to find without changing the facts. Record the focus in the filename so you can trace it later.
