Built Dashboards → Killed 4 Hours/Wk of Manual Reporting: Analyst

Free · No signup · Recruiter-reviewed

Three filler phrases gone ('insights to stakeholders', 'data-driven decision making', plural 'dashboards'). Replaced with the tool, the user count, the cadence, the time saved, and the financial decision that flowed from the analytics.

Shipped 4 Looker dashboards used weekly by 18 ops + finance leads, replacing 4 hours/week of manual CSV pulls and unlocking the £140k headcount reallocation.

What changed and why

  • Analysts are screened on decisions caused, not dashboards built. Always end with the decision.
  • Quote the user count + the cadence (18 users, weekly) — proves the dashboard reached the org, didn't sit in Slack.
  • Time saved is the laziest analytics-value claim, BUT pairing it with a decision (headcount reallocation) makes it bite.
  • Name the tool (Looker, Mode, Tableau, Hex) — analyst recruiters screen on stack literacy.

Recruiter perspective

“Named the tool, named the users, named the decision the data caused. This analyst delivered, not just queried.”
